Coach Hannah Poff will be returning for her third season leading the Hempfield Stingrays!
She was previously an Assistant Swim Coach for the Mountville Swim Team. She has also been a Swim America instructor since 2017 and is a Swim Lesson Supervisor at Messiah University. Coach Hannah was a member of the Messiah University Swim Team and was a Middle Atlantic Swimming Championship Qualifier.
Coach Amanda is in her first season as an assistant coach for the Stingrays, but is not new to the team or coaching! Her family is in their 4th year with the Stingrays and she has 6 summers of experience as a coach in the league. She started swimming at the age of 7 and swam all the way through college. Her favorite event was the mile (66 laps!) and hopes the kids love the water as much as she does!
This is Coach Kylie Wilkinson’s first year with the Hempfield Stingrays, but she is no stranger to the pool. She previously served as an assistant coach for Palmyra Aquatic Club for two years and is currently a swimmer on the Messiah University women’s swim team. Kylie swam for the Willowood Swim Team and Elizabethtown Aquatic Club for 11 years and competed for Donegal High School, where she was a PIAA League and District medalist and qualified for the PIAA State Championships for two consecutive years. Through Messiah’s swim team, she has competed at the Middle Atlantic Conference Championships for three years, earning multiple podium finishes, including a first-place finish. Her favorite events are freestyle races, especially the 200 and 500 freestyle.
Coach Avery will be back for her second summer coaching the Stingrays! Avery was a swimmer for the Hempfield Stingrays for 12 years before becoming a coach. Avery was also a club swimmer for 10 years as well as a member of the Hempfield High School swim team for 4 years. She has also been a Swim America instructor since 2021. Coach Avery is a member of the Saint Joseph's University Club Swim team. Her favorite events are the 200 IM and the 100 butterfly.
