We are excited to kick off our first week of divisional meets and incorporate various spirit activities for the team.

Swim Team Buddy & Mentorship Program

This program is designed to connect our experienced swimmers with our newest and youngest athletes to build lasting friendships, ease the anxiety of competition, and create an exciting, proud, and supportive family on the pool deck. In order to help us determine matches, please try to complete the linked google survey by end of day on Tuesday, 6/16/26. The survey must be completed for each swimmer within your household.

Operation Sting: Pass the Pride!

Our favorite, top-secret summer tradition has begun: Operation Sting.

This is our team-wide, stealthy game of "tag" designed to spread team spirit, welcome our newest swimmers, and blanket our neighborhood lawns in a sea of Stingrays. If you wake up to find a school of wooden stingrays swimming across your front yard, congratulations—you’ve been STUNG!

Here is how this covert operation works and how you can keep the chain moving:

1.You Get Stung!:The Surprise.

A fellow teammate will secretly plant the bin of wooden stingrays in your front yard under the cover of darkness (or whenever you aren't looking!).

2.Snap & Share: Show It Off.

We want to see your excitement! Take a fun picture of yourself with your newly "stung" yard and post it to the Hempfield Stingray Team Facebook Page so the whole team can celebrate.

3.Check the Binder: Plot Your Target.

Look inside the accompanying binder, which lists every single swimmer on the team. Check off your own name so everyone knows you've been visited. Then, look for a teammate who has not been checked off yet.

4. Keep it Swift: Try to pass the stingrays along to the next teammate within 24 to 48 hours so we can make sure as many swimmers as possible get a turn before the season ends.

Targeting Tip: We highly encourage you to target newer team members to give them a massive, warm Stingray welcome!
